Shocking experience and terrible service

I went to the Pick n Pay to do my grocery shopping this morning and I was completely horrified by the service and experience I received. It was the day after a sale (which I was unaware of), and I was selecting items that still had the sale barcodes on the shelves. I thought that this was my lucky day and that I'd saved a bit. When the items were rung up on the till they were at normal price and this was alarming. The response I received from the cashier was that the sale had ended yesterday. My husband had to go fetch the barcodes that were still on the shelves to show them that the prices were still at sale and that they hadn't been removed as they should have been. The service I received from the people that helped me was appalling but they changed a few of the items to the sale price. After I got home I went through the slip only to discover that they had charged me double on a few items! And some of the items that were still on sale were charged at normal price! I would have saved almost half of my bill if I had gone to Checkers or Woolworths! This has seriously put me off buying at Pick n Pay. They need to get their act together, and if a sale has ended, change the barcodes because a lot of people have been complaining about the prices today.
