Shocking behavior
I'm very grateful for the amazing initiative of marking down items that are due to expire on that day. In this economy who would turn down paying discounted prices for anything. Problem is that pnp lakeside decides that they will stall on marking down items in my and other customers opinions. They mark down a few of the items quite close to closing time and then leave loads of items which are in full view unmarked. So what my husband and I do is we decide to help them out by taking many of the items to them and ask them to put the sticker on, they then scan the items and the manager has to print them. Manager then takes his own time sometimes up to 45 mins + to get up from his seat and go upstairs to print. Certain of the staff and the manager looks so upset that they have to put a sticker on. Only one lady I think named Nomy is very helpful and friendly. One time I went there and a group of customers and myself were standing and waiting very long again for them to put stickers on the chicken, one regular said to me that they take long because they want to keep it for themselves(staff) since the shop will close soon. The lady comes with the stickers with the grumpiest look on her face which she always has. About 2 weeks ago I asked for stickers for chicken again and she says the machine won't print stickers for chicken more than twice a day (I don't know how many times they marked down chicken since there were many packs that should have been marked down) she said she must take it for waste. We go to the till to pay (shop was closing)and we see staff coming to the till next to us with chicken for themselves. Next time I go there same thing, we have to get the items and wait for stickers. As I leave the store I tell the manager to speak to his staff as they are extremely unfriendly, he says he will. So last week I go and once again. I have to ask for stickers, Nomy (I think is her name) scans the it and says she is waiting on the manager to print. I circle the store many times and keep asking her when the stickers will arrive, after what felt like an hour she says the manager says ther are no more stickers. I told her we were waiting so long (she acknowledged that) and she needs to tell the manager, so while I was speaking to her he stands from a short distance and calls her(that was rude as he saw me talking to her) he then disappears. I go near the back of the shop where the back of house doors are,he comes out , I ask him if he printed the stickers he blatantly ignores me and walks past then shouts to me without turning around that he is taking it to the front. I was in such shock that a manager could do that, I was so upset after I left the store. That's not even the end, we stopped there another time and my husband ran in to buy one item, he told me that the cashier, one of whom we complained about for being unfriendly sees my husband coming to her till and says something to her colleague in her and they language and they laugh, my husband asks her what that means and she says it means hello how are u (lie). I have spent lots money at the store and find the markdowns a great way to bring in customers but with this type of behavior and level of service I think I would prefer checkers.
I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly, does this mean that the matter is now considered closed? You mentioned about about the stores delay in getting back to me, I didn't say that at all. Please review my previous message, my request was to know exactly what processes or procedures have be put in place regarding this, was the manager just told to call me and "apologize"and that's the end of it? What has transpired? What where the staff and manager told? What kind of training will be done if any? I would just like to know if pnp takes this kind of thing seriously and if they actually do something other than just giving a half appolgy (saying "if it was me then I'm sorry") . I would be very disappointed if this action was the only remedy to this issue. He also said he would like to make it up to me, did he mean that him printing a sticker in 5 mins instead of 45 mins is making it up to me? All he said was if I have a problem with markdowns then to come to him . I felt extremely disrespected by this entire ex erience and expected a manager of a higher level to at least contact me as well or get a proper explanation or something?
