Shameful Service and Bad attitude

on the 8th December 2017 I went to the above store .I spoke to Zoey at the bakery and told her that it was my sons birthday and i wanted a small cake of the shelf ,I pointed out the one i wanted and asked if they could ice "happy birthday" on it .She said to me that it was ok the cake was 59.99 normal shelf price but i would have to pay extra for the ribbon .i asked how much she said 10.00 or a little more .I said it was fine .I went on Monday morning the price tag of 59.99 was affixed to the cake and she went to confirm with the manager Carlos how much extra he would charge me for the ribbon .he said 150.00 ...a 60 cake suddenly became 150.00 .Naturally i was livid .I clearly indicated that Ii wanted a cake of the shelf .Note..this was done on 2 occasions before .If i knew that Carlos was going to charge me 60 for a ribbon then i would have ordered a specialty cake !!.All said and done I would have taken the cake as it was my sons 10th birthday and naturally didn't want to disappoint him BUT CARLOS ATTITUDE is what sent me raging mad .Firstly he was totally disrespectful to Zoey who has worked at P&P Brackencity for the last 10 years in the presence of a customer .She was on the verge of tears .She is one of the most pleasant people I know and always goes out of her way to assist any customer .Carlos told me that I could have the cake for 60 but Zoey will pay the rest .This was clear emotional ********* .Telling a staff member that in front of a customer indicated that he was trying to play on my emotions to accept his ridiculous price but i was not going to be *********ed .With a heavy heart I told Carlos he can keep the cake and walked out of a store that i supported for the last 12 years WITHOUT a birthday cake for my son .i wasnt going to be bul**** .Bearing in mind that P&P Brackencity has been making my birthday cakes for the last 10 years.Carlos lacks management and people s****s .He is arrogant and demeaning towards women .I make this statement as I witnessed the manner he spoke to Zoey and..someone who has been contributing to that business in such a positive way , Im am very sure that he made zoey pay for that cake .Pick and Pay Brackenhurst ..Mondays incident just proved to me that we haven't moved in respecting women abit more.I make reference to the manner in which Carlos dealt with his staff member and me .He was ok that a child was going to be disappointed on his birthday .In my opinion this was not a specialty cake and Carlos price of 150 was not warranted he wanted me to pay 90.00 for a piece of ribbon and less that 50ml of icing !!! ...My biggest issue is that he thumb sucked the price there was no price list that showed that cake was 150 and Im hugely upset at the way he embarrassed his staff member . !!!!Shame on you Pick and Pay Brackenhurst !!!!
