Sewer-like Chicken Purchased!

Yesterday, I bought a vacuum-packed chicken from Brackenhurst Pick n Pay. When I opened it, I was immediately hit with a foul, sewer-like smell so strong that I nearly gagged and vomited. The packaging was dated 05/02/2025, meaning it should have still been fresh.

When I returned the item to the store, the manager could smell it even before opening the packet. I cannot believe that a company as big as Pick n Pay would allow such a severely spoiled product to be sold. Where are the quality and safety checks? How did this even make it to the shelf?

This is not the first time I’ve experienced an issue like this with Pick n Pay, but I can say with cer*****y that I will never buy from them again. I am utterly disgusted with the service and the lack of quality control from a company of this size.
