Sassa payouts

I am writing this review on behalf of all pensioners who draw their money on Sassa days. My mother went to pick n pay in Maitland on the 3 October 2017 after 10am to draw her Sassa money. She had to take Taxi as she stays in Kensington. She took her two grandchildren along and she paid R27 one way to go to Pick n Pay to draw her money. When she got there she was told that they don't have money to pay out and she can come another day. There were a few pensioners waiting in a queeu and they were sent back too. My mother left and took taxi back home, giving out almost R60 for the day without getting her Sassa money. She then went back the Thursday to draw her money, taking her grandchildren with her again, just to be told again that they don't have money. My mother was upset as she was going to spend almost R120 for 2 days to get her Sassa money just to be told she can't draw it. My mother confronted the supervisor and said that she won't leave without her money, and she was not the only pensioner waiting for their money. I am disgusted that this is the way we treat our elders. Why does pick n pay claim that they are providing a service by paying out Sassa monies or that you can get a cash back from the tills , but when you ask they forever tell you they don't have money on the premises. How many pensioners don't depend on their Sassa monies. They live month to month but we still feel it's fine to just tell them that they can come back another day. Those same people that you send away put their last money back in your tills.
