Saddened

About 3 years ago I introduced my sister who was 67 at the time to the Smart Shopper card. She is an old age pensioner. She was very excited at the thought that she could get something back from shopping at PnP. Every time I asked her if she had use her point she told me that she was waiting for it to get to R200 then she would use them. In Dec'15 she had R180 and was excited. In Jan '16 her till slip showed that her points had come down. She then enquired and after having to go to a manager and a phone call was told that she had been penalised as she had not used the points. REALLY I have never seen or been told by anyone that you lose the point if not used (the staff of PnP was just as shocked) I am very saddened. Surely PnP customers need to made aware of the fact that the point expire. Can an allowance not be made for pensioners. R200 may not be a lot to some but to pensioners it is. My sister has now used her point and told the staff of PnP to cut the card up. She was looking forward to spending her R200 when she had accumulated enough point.
