Rude Cashier - S Makgoba 03/12/2020

I have greatly disgusted by the service I received at Pick n Pay Family Cosmo City (shopping centre). I have always been supporting this supermarket despite the fact that I have previously read about their bad service from the community Facebook page. From today I can safely say that I am readyto explore other outlets where great customer service and humanity is not just a term but put to life. Today I made my shopping at this store and while on the queue I was busy talking on the phone, sending voice notes to be precise. The lady that was servicing the queue I was on S Makgoba ( Shirley if I'm not mistaken) saw that I have had my mask slightly removed from my face and reminded me to put it back. All good and well, it's everyone's responsibility to make sure that we follow the safety measures to prevent covid-19. So i continued on the phone and slid it on my chin again and this time she screamed at me with so much disrespect you'd actually think that she's addressing a child. This lady called her manager to tell her to speak to me because she's tired of telling me, I tried to explain that I only removed it to speak on the phone and innocently forgot to put it back. She went on to shout and portrayed this stinking attitude to me and right in front of many other customers. I retaliated and ordered her to stop shouting and address me with respect and not raise her voice. She S Makgoba told me that "That is her voice and that I CANNOT tell her how to speak to me" . The manager or supervisor came, stood right next to her and whispered "guys calm down". The cashier with a stinking attitude said "Go outside if you want to speak on your phone". I am in position to tell you how to run your business but if your cashier understand the impact that customer experience has on the business she should know exactly how to carry herself when dealing with customers. I never want to set my foot in that store and I am gonna make sure that my friends and family refrain too. I don't want anyone I care about to be subjected to such treatment.
