RUDE BEHAVIOUR AND MISLEADING INFORMATION
I had an unpleasant experience at Pick n Pay Featherbrook Village in Ruimsig this past Sunday 26 May 2019. When i paid for my groceries cash with R100 notes I had just withdrew from an ATM in the same shopping complex I was rudely told by the cashier that Pick N Pay does not accept old R100 notes anymore, and that I should go to the bank to exchange the notes on a Sunday when no bank in that shopping complex is open. When i asked the cashier since when was that law enforced she told me it was an instruction from the reserve bank. She called her manager who was also very rude when I asked her where in their shop does it say customers will no longer be allowed to pay with old notes she said that is how it is, even other pick n pay shops have enforced that law. But she later told the cashier that only OLD R200 notes were no longer accepted by the shop. Can someone from PNP head office please advise on this matter to avoid such rude behaviour from happening to me or other customers in future.
