Rotten, rancid meat
My fiance and I went to Pick n Pay Hypermarket in William Moffett on Saturday 19 February to do some grocery shopping. Amongst the groceries we bought were 2 vacuum packed matured steaks. The expiry date said 3 March. We put it into the deep freeze along with the other meat. We defrosted those 2 packets on Sunday night in the fridge, as we always do. When opening the vacuum sealed meat packets on Monday, it was VERY clear that the meat was unbelievably rotten. The stench was unbelievable, and the meat itself was slimy. I should have taken a photo of the meat, but we were so disgusted by the smell that we threw it away in the outside bin immediately. I don't understand how this meat could even have been packed, as it was very likely that it was \off\" already before they sealed and packaged it. This is not the first time I have bought meat that was \"off\". I will not be buying from Pick n Pay Hyper's ever again, which is unfortunate. "
