Rotten Chicken

I purchased chicken at Pick n Pay in Plattekloof. Long story short the chicken was off and later in the week when I wanted to prepare it I noticed the odour after thawing. I contacted the store for over a week to finally speak to a lady Unathi who advised that I could return it with the slip to the store closest to my home in Monte Vista. My husband went to the store only for one of the supervisors Shaun to refuse to return the product. Point is: I contacted the store for over 3 weeks calling and sending emails to no avail, then when the store was eventually available they refuse to return it. Product that is not fit for sale should not be put on the shelves and the chicken I purchased had a date of expiry for 4 days later on the packaging. I am so irritated that no one from Pick n Pay has even contacted me and solely based on this I expect a return on my money. We are in a difficult time and cannot afford to be paying for goods that are not edible.
