Rotten Chicken

On 03rd February 2016, I had purchased Pick n Pay branded chicken from Pick n Pay Queensburgh. On opening the pack I was hit with a terrible odour. I checked the date and found both the sell by and use by date was 03 February 2016. I was disgusted ..how could a reputable store like Pick n Pay have rotten chicken in their fridges. I returned the chicken at customer services at the same branch and the lady at the till just put her head back coz the stench was so bad. I asked to see the manager, who I later found out to be Marcus...I needed an explanation as to the process followed in stocking their fridges ....all I got back from him was unacceptable excuses. I said to him I want feedback on this as I am a regular shopper and I want to be sure that there are processes in place to prevent something like this from happening again. The manager Marcus said he would look into the matter a d call me with feedback. has not bothered to call me back. I suppose he just does not give the hell. It is my belief that chicken is repacked and just so that tbey could get rid of froth chicken
