Rights violations

On the 12th of June 2020 me and my brother were out to buy bread and dog food after paying towards existing the store we where stopped at the door by a security guard. He asked to search us while other people where not searched. We compiled and he did not find anything then he asked us to take a few steps right inside the parcel counter area which is by the door and asked to search us again. In which by that time we were suprised and started asking questions about why we being held captive and searched and by that time everyone entering and exiting the store was looking and taking videos one of the ladies from the security company started making a scene and calling us thefts she was accusing us of *****ing Bob Martins pills and while we wer shocked the employees from picknpay where on about me and my brother being drug users and that pick and pay shouldn't allow crack addicts to enter the store because we came there to *****. As this was commencing customers were busy gathering up to look at the commotion then we were told to stay in the parcel counter area as they going to view the footage and while we wher there two department managers of picknpay where present and as i asked them to please buy me airtime with my own money i was told that which crack head has a phone and was mocked of *****ing the phone. We were kept hostage for 2 hours then after two hours we were told to leave. They told didn't apologize whatsoever and didn't say anything they jst said go. Then i called their head office and till today nothing has been done at all all the head office worker said was sorry. How is sorry going to regain my dignity and because i and my brother work for other companies what happens when our employers see the video's taken by the public. Pick and pay tarnished our future's because of the dress code we where in and i don't think a young Male from a different race would have been treated like this,this problem would have been handled differently just because im a less fortunate black male im treated differently and labeled as a ***** and now picknpay gets away with it. I was harrassed and my rights where violated and no one takes action for that? #picknpay-Protea Glen Mall
