Refund

My work asked me to buy two vouchers from Pick n Pay in December 2014. I have never bought such a thing from them and did not notice what the lady gave me. When I got to work we saw it was ITune vouchers. We need food vouchers. I went back to Pick n Pay and was told they cannot refund it as it is just a service they provide for ITunes. I can leave the vouchers there and as soon as they have sold them, they will give me the money. I have been back so many times and it is always the same story. They have to sell it first. I contacted ITunes and they refuse to refund it as well. So what happened to the refund policy?? What happened to making the customer happy.
