Raw Chicken in Pasta Salad

I bought a pasta salad yesterday (2 August) from the Pick 'n Pay in Silverton. After eating some of it I discovered pieces of raw chicken in it. I inadvertently had swallowed a couple of small pieces of the raw chicken. I took the salad back and the manager acted as if he didn't know what I was talking about, just gaped. In frustration I pulled a large piece of raw chicken out and slapped on the counter in front of him but he rep**** \there's nothing I can do". Really? Not offer to reimburse me? Not remove the remaining salads off the shelf?! Uncooked poultry is a serious Salmonella poisoning risk - that did not seem to bother him... It can take up to 72 hours for symptoms of Salmonella poisoning to appear - I pray I don't get it! Pick 'n Pay is not the least bit bothered it appears! Is there not an independent third party to make a health and hygiene inspection of the store?"""
