Raisin Free Hot Cross Buns - tasteless and unhealthy!

The quality of prepared foods from the Pick 'n Pay bakery, confectionary section and savoury meals is sub-standard and unacceptable! Quality assurance in the provision of foodstuffs should be a priority, a non-negotiable. We are what we eat. Current dietary challenges affecting the health of our nation are exacerbated by sub-standard offerings. I decided to try a pack of hot cross buns and inadvertently picked up the raisin free version, lol. Hot cross buns by my definition have unique spicing and raisins, it's what makes them hot cross buns and not brown flour rolls. Anyway, even as a simple bread roll they were utterly flavourless and floury. I couldn't give them away, in good conscience, yet PnP has the audacity to sell this to people!? I have repeatedly experienced this sub-standard quality from various stores and would gladly offer my services to help train and inspire your staff, country wide. There is a huge lack, a serious problem, if staff are not responsible, motivated and inspired to prepare food lovingly and to their best of their ability. A good recipe should not be a challenge to use in delivering a quality product. These buns were nothing more than alternatively processed sugar, a waste of resources (packaging, time, energy ...!?) and a serious contributor to creating ill health and disease in any who consume such in an effort to enjoy a tasty treat. Many consumers are ******** to these ills/challenges as they trust the system. I am not so naive and have so many concerns about this that I'll rather just end it here by saying, step up your game, it's disgraceful!
