****** Pnp Pinelands staff

I went to Pick n Pay Pinelands this morning to buy a R3000 gift voucher and had such a weird experience. I've purchased a gift voucher from Pick n Pay before and gift vouchers from other shops. My experience was so weird I even concluded that Pnp no longer wants to sell the vouchers but than why else would they have them displayed? I asked for a voucher and lady at the till said I must wait for a supervisor to come authorise. While waiting lady at the till asks if the voucher is for a company. I say no. Than supervisor asks if I'm paying cash or by card. I say card she says there's a limit on card and cash transactions and asks to see my bank card. I give her bank card. Than she asks if she can call the manager I say yes because maybe manager can make sense of it. Than manager comes. Says they limit credit card transactions im like but supervisor asked s to see card and damn card says debit card. Than she says card transactions for a gift card a limited to R2k. Different limit to the one supervisor told me. Than i offer a solution that they load 2 cards one with R2k and another with R1k. Manager agrees and I loaded the two gift cards with the same damn bank card which just shows that the people at the till just made up a useless control. I know racial profiling when I see it.
