Today my sister went to your store in Lambton.. She had he baby boy who is only a year old.. She was there to buy groceries.. She then noticed a kids rompers in your clothing items section. My sister decided to take the romper while shopping her son wanted that romper.. My sister decided to hang it on the side of her trolley coz she didn't want her son to mess up the clothes before she pays for it.. My sister after packing everything she wanted.. Went to the tills to pay for her items.. Just after paying she had forgotten about the item which was on the side of her trolley.. She got to the door and the security stopped her.. Accused her of *****ing.. She tried to explain what had happened and that she forgot about it coz she only unpacked what was inside the trolley.. She insisted on paying for it as that was her intention.. The security guard called the store manager Hendrick van Der kerk to come and assist and the guy was not helpful at all.. He was instead ****** about the whole situation accused my sister of *****ing and telling her that that's how black people *****.. He then called the police on her to get her arrested.. Mind u she still has her 1 year old baby and this man is refusing to go through the store footage to see what happened the time when she took the item n when she went to pay.. The cashier is at fault as well as she never asked or reminded the customer why is it that shes not paying... This manager blew everything out of proportion just because the client is black.. I'm very disappointed on how this whole incident was handled.. On top of it she was being harrased and called a ***** by this ****** manager.. Will never set my foot in there.. Never ever... I called the call center spoke to Dimpho Mulovhedzi who then didn't want to assist me in logging a complaint.. I requested for the store managers name n she was still refusing up until I insisted on speaking to her team. Leader who she then placed me on hold g or more than 40 minutes.. After waiting for that whole 30 minutes 8 finally spoke to desree who explained that according to their policies the manager can choose either to call the cops or ask the client to pay for the items at his or her own deacresion.. But now that this was a black shopper the ****** manager saw it fit for him to get her arrested although she was insisting on paying for the item coz it was forggoten... I'm. Highly disappointed on how this incident was dealt with...
