Purpose of time stipulation

I went to Pick 'n Pay Florida to get some stuff. There is a signpost outside which states clearly that the shop opens at 8am and closes at 8pm. I got there at 1955pm and the guard was holding the door and when indicated that I wanted to enter she told me the shop is closed. I turned her attention to the sign showing the times and she tried to close the door whilst I was still speaking. I held the door and told her that what she is doing is wrong as it violates the stipulated times and she forcefully closed it.

I requested for the manager who came and said if I want to buy I have to give a gentlemen who was inside in the shop my money to buy for me though on a time basis the shop was suppose to be open.

I do feel treated unfairly by the the guard and the manager as the time to close was not up. Can this be taken up as I just wanted to get some food stuffs to go with my health condition as I am on medication.

There is no point in stipulating time just so it's not adhered to.

I have never been treated in such a way in Pick n Pay and would appreciate the addressing of the matter.

Good day Ivan,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

Please accept our apologies for the delay in response and the poor service received at the Florida store.

We are busy addressing this with our management team.

Kind regards,

Vanitha Venketas
