On the 13th of January 2017 my wife had an unfortunate experience at Bylsbridge PnP when she purchased a tube of Rowntree pastilles priced at R10.59, thinking it was on special. She had schecked the description on the label which corresponded. At the till when it was scanned the price showed as R26. She went with the packer to verify the label & product. The manager, Mark Du Toit, was called. he told her that he can't give it to her for R10.59 as people can move products around to where there are different labels & they will suffer a loss. He told my wife she should check the barcode. Here's the issue - my wife is not a barcode scanner. Your pricing & merchandising is your responsibility, not hers. And, by implication, he is accusing her of dishonesty. She cancelled her R700 transaction went to Checkers. All for R15 and a manager with no people s****s.
