Prices on Fruit and Veg

Every single time you go to |Pck 'n Pay in Oudtshoorn, only a few items at the Fruit and Veg section is priced. You then have to go in search for a staff member to ask for prices as there is almost never an attendant at the section. It has been going on like this forever. I got got fed up and had a "warm" discussion with Petra last week (she came to me after I insisted on speaking to a Manager). She just stood there glaring at me and did not respond to anything I said or asked. Only once I INSISTED that she answer me did she respond by saying that the staff member that was suppose to be at the section is on lunch and did not do his work. She then told me that she was not a Manager and I then told her to go get me one. I completed my shopping and when I got to the till she was standing there chatting away. I asked her where the Manager was and she just looked at me - not responding. I left my shopping just there and stormed out - knowing I might do something drastic. I went back yesterday (as it is located conveniently) and found the same problem. This time the Manager told me that the staff member is on lunch (10:00) and is still busy putting on prices. I then told him that he is talking absolutely ******* as the staff can not always be on lunch when I am in the shop and that they keep on giving the same excuses every single time you complain. He told me that I must go to the scales to ask for the prices that I want (really now?) When I eventually found someone to ask, they walked from the scales to the sweet potatoes (that I was enquiring about), saw that there was no price on (what I told them in the first place when I walked over to ask) and told me that she does not know what the price is...... and stood there looking at me with a blank face........ Needless to say that I stormed out of there again.

Why is it that at all other shops in Oudtshoorn you can see the prices a mile away? Shoprite has theirs printed on a piece of paper with their logo on, or its written on a board above the product? Checkers has it on boards as well as tags with barcodes at the bottom. Spar has it on boards and also on tags. All the above mentioned shops has their specials printed big on paper and displayed boldly. And there is ALWAYS someone at the scales.

Pick 'n Pay Oudtshoorn - wake up and stop passing the buck! Stop blaming the staff member working there - train them to do their job. Rotate staff to fill in when lunch is taken. And for heavens sake - when a customer complaints - stop the blame game, take responsibility and try to calm the customer down by helping him/her to resolve the problem. Then go back and address the issue - because I can promise you I am not the only customer complaining about this. It is not a problem with staff - it is BAD BAD BAD MANAGEMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
