PRICE HIKING
PRICE HIKING Today 22/05/2020 I went to Pick ‘n Pay ( van der Hoffpark Potchefstroom) wanting to buy a pack of 24 cans Mountain Dew Baha Blast wich I have been buying for the last 5 weeks. The first time we bought it it was along with alot of other imported cans of soda like Dr Pepper (cherry, vanilla exc) Lots of different sorts. With a label saying Assorted soft drinks R205. We’ve bought some of those too for R205. But when we got to the cashier they told us no there is no pricing on so they are going to have to charge us per can wich would’ve added up to R400+ The cashier called over a man (we suspected a manager) didn’t introduce himself basically told us we where laying saying they haven’t sold us the mountain dew for that price R205 before and eventually asked us the names of the cashiers who sold it to us the previous times. (wich we didn’t know) He was really rude and inconsiderate and only when my friends boyfriend came to see whats going on,he started saying it wasn’t his fault it was the other people working there’s faults in a less agressive tone of voice. Later we told the cashier to leave the cans and the man threw his hand up and walked away. We find this behavior unacceptable and couldn’t believe that through this pandemic all he could focus on and couldn’t stop telling us ,that he’d be losing profit. This price hike is unacceptable and having a manager treat us like this after we questioned it, leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
