Possible false advertising or miss leading the consumer

Two weeks ago I submitted a complaint to Pick n Pay customer services and to date I have not received a response.

Two weeks ago Pick n Pay advertised their brand of Extra Virgin Olive Oil @ 2 for R 170.00 , I visited Pick n Pay Sumerfields & Pick n Pay on Republic on Thursday & Friday before the special expired on that coming Sunday and both stores had no stock, being a pensioner & due to the price of petrol I gave up the search.

On Monday I needed to pick up my medication from Dis chem and to my surprise when I pop into Pick n Pay on Republic to buy bread their shelves were packed with the Pick n Pay brand extra virgin olive oil and advertised @ R 119 per bottle ( 09:15). I understand that we are human and occasional make mistakes so why does Pick n Pay not rather apologize to clients for advertising an incorrect price. This is not the first time that Pick n Pay have advertised specials and when you get there the shelves are empty, return the day after the special and shelves are fully stocked.

A very disappointing and frustrated pensioner

Reviewer Update
What a waste of time logging a complaint, Pick n Pay think we are a bunch of idiots, they just go through the motions of "PRETENDING" they care about customer service.

I got a call from one store stating that they ordered the olive oil two weeks before the promotion but DC did not delivery END OF DISCUSSION, COMPLAINT RESOLVED

The other store contacted me stating that they had the Olive Oil in stock END OF DISCUSSION, COMPLAINT RESOLVED implying I am a ****

Does Pick n Pay think that we have nothing better to do than INVENT these complaints?

Will no longer shop at pick n Pay and will encourage family. friends, staff and acquaintances do likewise
