Poor service, low staff moral Pick n Pay
Pick n pay Tokai has been deteriorating steadily over the past few years. Not enough staff, not enough tills open which puts other staff members under pressure creating low staff moral and a negative attitude in the store. managers have come and gone with no improvement. Jarryd from head office gave me his word that immediate action was being taken - its 2 month's down the line and worse than ever. Majority of tills are occupied by casual outsourced staff, when questioned they all said that they would love to work as permanents, yet were denied the opportunity. Very confusing? You only have to look at Constantia Village or Plumstead Family store to see how it should be done. Unfortunately these stores are further away and often don't warrant the petrol expense for a few items.
Thank you for taking the time to contact Pick n Pay and for raising your concerns.

Its been a few months since my complaint. The store is worse than ever! Not enough tills open, long lines, low staff moral, plenty casuals and a manager sitting in the office at his computer with a clear view of his shop floor and the goings on. I am still waiting for a senior manager form head office to call me - having the branch call mewhich they tried to do is pointless as they are the problem! Wake up people... why should Constantia flagship store differ from the Tokai branch? Surely all stores are run to the same spec?
