Poor service and bad attitude

I just had a bad experience and service from Pick n Pay Maponya Mall. The cashiers don't greet customers there. They talk amongst themselves well servicing customers. However that's not what frustrated me and made me angry. What made me angry is when I was paying for the items. The one item didn't want to scan so they didn't know the price for it. Thembi the cashier told me the item doesn't want to scan. I then ask her so what does it mean to me if the item doesn't want to scan. She looked at me with a funny face and called the supervisor to assist her. She told the supervisor what was the issue. The supervisor took the item and asked one of the staff member to go check at the shelf what the price is. The staff member seemed not to be interested in going. Saying, "hao, hole so". Meaning "that far" in direct translation. The male staff member eventually went and later came back saying there's no price at the shelf and the barcode scanner he tried. It doesn't want to scan either.

The cashier Thembi, said to me. Sorry bhuti, the item doesn't want to scan and there's no price on the shelf. I told her I need the item and they need to make a plan of finding out the price, because that was not the only item on that shelf. I mean the was close to 30 of the very same item in that shelf. Why would Pick n Pay put or display items that do not scan for prices.

Thembi told the very same supervisor that I want the item. The supervisor told the item and went to some office to check the price am assuming. Thembi whilst I was waiting for the supervisor. Told me I could wait for 2 to 3 hours for them to look for the price on that item. I told her I will wait as I really need the item, and I don't need it for fun. But rather I need to for work tomorrow. A minute late, the supervisor came back and said even the computer doesn't show the price for the item.

I got really annoyed and angry and asked to see the store manager. To my surprise, I was told the manager is extremely busy and he won't have time to attend to me. So I'm shocked that Pick n Pay Maponya Mall as a Hyper, they treat their customers like this and put items that do not scan. What a poor and disgusting service I received from that store and it's staff members...
