Poor response time.

On 4 June I received a whattsap indicating the Pavilion Store is closed due to a positive virus test. The origin of the message was unknown so I sent it to Pick n Pay to indicate wether its true of not. I also looked at local and national news sites and there was nothing posted. Got a reference 402599. on the same day. Well since then nothing has happened, no one has bothered to respond. It's a very poor show from Puck n Pay, is it a case of they don't really care a sh*t or that they have so many queries to attend to due to poor client service, that they just cannot cope. Just wondering how big the backlog is, got to be massive as my query is untouched for six days. Then a special request, if you ever decide to respond please don't include the clause of how you value me as a client bla bla bla, because you don't. To date no one has bothered to

Hi Marus,

Apologies for the delay in response to your post.

Our call center is experiencing staff shortages & high call & email volumes.

Our Pavilion store is temporarily closed after a staff member tested positive for Coronavirus yesterday. The staff member’s close contacts were immediately traced and they were sent home to self-quarantine for the required period. As a precaution, the remainder of the store staff who were not in close contact with the staff member have been screened by health practitioners. A specialist cleaning team has deep cleaned and sanitized the store. We are liaising closely with the health authorities and will reopen the store soon.

The health and safety of our customers and staff is a top priority. We are cleaning our stores even more rigorously, including sanitising all till points after each transaction, and sanitising our trolleys frequently. Our stores have various preventative measures, including Perspex screens at all till points and all staff have face masks. Our staff follow strict hygiene rules and practices, including regular handwashing, and hand sanitiser is readily available for all staff and customers in stores. All stores have clear distancing policies which includes floor markers and asking customers to queue and shop with a trolley so that safe physical distancing can be maintained at all times. Our staff are screened for symptoms before they start work.

We are trying our best to assist all customers the best we can.

We appreciate your patience and understanding at this very difficult time.

Kind regards,
The Pick n Pay Team.
