Poor & dishonest customer service!!

Pick n Pay are nothing less than dishonest!! For years I have been purchasing the Butternut 500g packets and for a long time they had stickers on the packet stating R5 off if you buy 2. Then a couple of weeks ago they stopped putting on the stickers BUT continued with the "buy 2” get R5 off so you are paying R40 for the 2 packets which is what you would pay for the 1kg packet.

Then today with no warning, they now charge you the full R22.99 for each of the two 500g packets.

I try and complain to customer service who proceeds to tell me a bunch of non-facts, like "if there is no sticker then there is no discount” and it’s because its the “Green Grocers” packet...doesn’t listen to me the customer who has been buying it for months with no sticker and getting th R5 off.

Finally in disgust I give up wasting my time - is it any wonder that Pick n Pay is losing market share to Checkers, Shoprite & Food *****s Market.

I tried phoning the store but most times NO ONE EVER answers the phone.

Perhaps, in order for me to feel better - I should buy a whole bunch of the butternut and then leave it at the checkout when no discount appears at the till.

Plattekloof Village Pick n Pay has been on a steady decline over the last 10 years - excuses for shortage of stock (popular response "we waiting for the truck", cold chain processes often non-existent because fridges breaking down every week, etc. etc. Can never find a store manager when you need one!! The list goes on and on!!
