Poor Customer Service

"Display Price and Price at Till Point Not The Same" - Poor Customer Service from Manageress

Visited the store Pick 'n Pay Blue Hills this evening after work to buy a few items. The Item in question was a 1litre tub of Coconut Oil, advertised at the display shelf for R56.99. However at the till when scanned it showed R149.99, I immediately questioned the price. The cashier alerted her supervisor who then proceeded to assist me. She first went to check for herself on the shelf however she could not find the item and then came back to me and asked if I could show her the exact spot on the shelf. I then proceeded with her to show her what was the displayed price, and confirmed the description matched the item. She then also noticed that next to the displayed price was a "Temporary out of stock sign" which was also a price tag for a 1litre Coconut oil priced at R149.99. She then said it was their error and she will rectify at the till. However when she was proceeding with adjusting the price at the till, the Manageress(I assume) said no we cannot do this and this is not what was displayed and the items are different. Very Rude. Thereafter I told them to take that item out and paid for the balance of my items.

The Manageress does not have any customer s****s and handled the situation very poorly.

I do believe that I should have been given the item as per the displayed price. It is not my problem as a customer that their staff made an error on the display shelf which matches the item.

Thank you Team Pick 'n Pay. The Store Manager contacted me and apologized for the incident. Further he asked me to come and collect the item at the displayed price. Much appreciated
