Poisonous Pick'n Pay Jam on shelves since 2017

On 29/01/2020 I bought a Strawberry Jam P'nP brand at Darras Centre. On opening it I realised that the colour is 'rusty brown' instead of 'red'. I emptied it into a transparent container and tasted a bit using the butter knife. I had an immediate allergic reaction and self medicated with Allergex pills I had in the house. On checking the tin we realised that it was produced on 11/10/2017. I called the Customer Care line immediately, given Reference no. ***; to return it for a refund; and be given a 'Complaint of Illness' form. On receiving the form I realised the key info required is on the Jam can; and that i have to pay from my pocket to see a Dr. Fortunately I had taken pictures of the can indicating its time on the shelves. When we went to look for the can atvthe store the next, the Manager on duty got rid of the opened jam as he didnt know what it was all about. I reported this bag to Customer Care with the indication that I cannot afford going to the Dr. To date, I've received e-mails and SMS updates that the query is with Food Tech. I'm just wondering which ingredients are being tested when the jam was thrown away. My request for assistance to see the Dr has not been met; and shockingly, till yesterday, 04/02/2020 that same Batch of poisonous jams produced on 11/10/2017 Best Before 11/10/2020 is still on the shelves. How caring is Pick n Pay, Ive been their loyal shopper from when I started earning my first pay check in 1986 before Smart Shopper. I'm disappointed and angry.

Thank you for the response but it still does not address my concerns that the Batch of Jams is still on the shelves thus posing potential danger to the community. I'm not sure what is being tested by their Food Tech Division when the Jam Can in question was tossed in the bin by the Store Manager. Secondly, I still need to be assisted by Pick n' Pay to be able to go to see the Specialist Doctor.
