P'nPay Lonehill butchery *******
My wife purchased 992 g of beef stew from Pick'nPay Lone Hill . I used it to make a curry. This was difficult as the recipe specified 25mm cubes and the meat thickness raged from 6mm to 11mm. I trimmed the meat of bones and heavy fat. The trimmings weighed 250g. We paid R82.99 per kilo which equates to R111.85 per kilo for usable meat. We usually purchase our meat from Checkers Pineslopes where the butcher is good and the meat quality excellent. We will go there in future
