PnP Table Bay Mall & PnP online - unreliable delivery times and no communication.
This complaint relates to online shopping, where the assigned store was PnP Table Bay Mall. I tried PnP online grocery shopping for first time. Placed order yesterday at 3:30pm (***). Delivery was scheduled for between 8 and 10am today.
By 10am nothing was delivered. Several frustrating calls to the call center with no conclusion. Called the store on both their numbers numerous times, yet nobody answers the phone. Also emailed the manager. The call center could not provide an ETA. Goods were finally delivered at 11:20.
It's clear that PnP can't compete with Checkers Sixty60, which I will go back to using, who are on time and the app even gives a driver ETA.
To anyone reading this; if you are on a timeline and need your delivery as planned/booked, DO NOT use PnP.
1) Why do you advertise and allocate a time slot that you cannot or might not meet?
2) If you are running late, why is a notification not sent to the customer or why is a comment not added to my online order status... it merely said "in progress". When your call center contacted the Table Bay store, they should have been told that the orders were running late with an ETA, which could have been conveyed to me.
3) Why did nobody at the store answer the phone when I called (several times)?
4) Why did the driver (Dawnwing) of the van not answer his phone when PnP apparently tried to call him?
5) The most surprising thing was, why did PnP select the Table Bay store (20km from me) to fulfill the order, when Plattekloof and N1 are only 4km from my home?
To reiterate my point, anyone reading this - DO NOT order from PnP if delivery is time sensitive. I was left waiting from 8am with absolutely no idea if and when delivery was to take place...
