PnP refuse to compensate for my injury

In February 2015 i got injured at Pick n Pay liquor store, inside the Pick n Pay Family store in Brackenfell. I bought a bottle of Four Cousins wine, 1,5ltr plus a plastic bag. The cashier packed it, gave me the packet, i picked it up and the bottle fell right through the bag and broke on my foot. My foot swelled up instantly. I was there with my two kids, aged 3 and 10. I was unable to drive, was unable to walk, a customer who stood behind me offered to drive me and my kids home. The manager, Ludwik advised that i file a claim, which i did, after months of emails to insurance, where i had to do the follow up, they finally asked me for what amount i am claiming for, which i gave them, i waited 2 weeks before following up. On Friday 22 May 2015 they sent me a emailed letter, stating they wont entertain my claim, that i must claim from their plastic bag company!! What the hell!!?? I am so angry and disappointed, but I will go the legal route now. I am a single mother, who was unable to cook, clean or drive my kids to school for two weeks, had to miss work for a week, I had to hire help, and they refuse to help me? Protocol is: I claim from them, they claim from bag company.
