PnP Primrose a Mickey Mouse Store

What an afternoon! Bought a cabbage at 4.38pm. Got home. Sliced cabbage for cooking. Unacceptably awful inside. No problem. Grabbed my slip, jumped in the car, was back at the store by 5pm, with cabbage and receipt. Spoke to Debbie and Neo (the Indian Neo not the African Neo, she comes in later). They called for fruit and veg person. Got two new cabbages. I asked they they be cut before I left the store. Same problem with both. Was offered 2 halves of cabbage (pnp brand). Accepted. Both were best by yesterday and looked awful. Declined after seeing them. Asked for my receipt back, planning to leave. Receipt is gone. Debbie calls fruit and veg man back, claiming it was in the bag. Both myself and Nelson (my 15yo foster son) TOLD her repeatedly that it was not, that we had asked HER if we should leave it on the counter, nevertheless she insisted fruit and veg man go backward and forward 3 more times to find it. She was so rude to him that we were both ashamed to be standing there. She was also rude to us, asking 'well where did it go? Only me and Robert were here and WE didn't throw it away!'. We reminded her that it was Neo who had helped us not Robert initially. Then the front end supervisor asked what we were looking for. SHE had picked it up and remembered it. However it had vanished. Right, no problem, let's reprint the slip. They couldn't FIND the transaction, despite knowing the till, the time frame, and having seen the slip. So we waited. And waited. And waited. Then we had to watch cctv footage until we could identify Nelson, which we did. Remember, we had come in WITH our slip! We left the store at 18.20pm! Neo (the African lady this time) was the one who actually sorted it out, despite the two white 'managers' who are rude, overpaid and unable to manage their way out of a paper bag. End result? We left the store with a vrot cabbage and a slip. The same ones we had walked in with nearly 2 hours before. This store is less than 2kms away from my front door. I only shop there when desperate as standards have dropped ridiculously in the last year. I am a PnP 'Smart Shopper' and still use Pick 'n Pay, but not this one as my card will reflect. To directly quote Robert (manager) 'we don't need a consisent loyal customer base, our figures are fine'. Really? Another direct quote 'we are not the worst poorly managed store in the area'. Great. I could weep at the utter ineptitude of staff in general and the disrespect and basic lack of manners from Robert and Debbie, to both us customers and their own staff. I will never set foot in that store again. Ever. And Pick 'n Pay, they are a blight on your reputation.
