PnP price hiking

Why when the President said there's to be no price hikes did your Port Alfred branch suddenly price hike, it's so unfair and cruel of a franchise to be robbing those most effected by this lockdown the poor and unemployed. Well I've also reported yous to consumers rights Commission a board of SA. God bless

Hi Michael,

Thank you for contacting Pick n Pay, We appreciate you taking the time to write to us.

Please accept our apologies for the delay in response to  your post.

We have not, and never will increase the prices of key products just because they are in demand in challenges like the coronavirus outbreak. In this particular case, the lower price was a special promotion price that ended. The new price reflects the price from the manufacturer for new stock. We’re working closely with our suppliers on pricing, particularly on essentials.

We value you as a Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this very difficult time. Kind regards,
The Pick n Pay Team
