PnP Maponya Mall from zero to hero
On 27 March, I purchased a camp chair from Pick n Pay Hyper Maponya Mall. After one use, I noticed a factory defect due to incorrect stitching, which caused the chair to tear. On 5 April, I returned to the store to request an exchange but had misplaced my till slip. Despite providing alternative proof of purchase (Smart Shopper card, bank card, date and till used), I was initially advised that I could not be assisted and would need to return on another day. When escalated, the gentleman who gave that information was dismissive and unhelpful, repeatedly stating that nothing could be done, even when alternative solutions were suggested. His manner lacked customer service courtesy. Fortunately, Fefe (full name and surname forgotten) stepped in and took a solution-driven approach. She used my Smart Shopper details to locate the transaction on the system, confirmed the factory fault, and arranged a replacement. Her professionalism, calm approach, and willingness to assist turned the experience around completely. I would like to commend Fefe for her excellent service and customer care. She is a true asset to the store.
