PNP Hypermarker Port Elizabeth Poor Customer Service, I want a full refund
I visited PNP Hypermarket PE on 20 Dec 2018 with my Canon Printer that was faulty that I bought on 25 June 2018. A lady by the name of Vernoleen came and said all printers that is 6 months from purchase and older must go in for repairs and does not qualify for a refund. I then told her the printer is not 6 months yet and will only be 6 months on 25 Dec 2018 which in reply she told me it doesn't matter it is only 2 days. For me it does matter as it is not 6 months yet!
Being very rude she said well that is what her manager instructed her. I then asked to see the manager which she then phoned and told me what he said and I again asked can I speak to him directly which only then she handed me the phone. To my surprise the "manager" on the line told me a different story that the printer only have 2 weeks guarantee to return for refund and anything after that must go in for repairs, whilst I heard Vernolelen asking him is it the same as TV's being after 6 months to go in for repairs.
I am disgusted in the complete lack of knowledge and customer service. When I told Vernoleen I run a small business and need to print something her reply was, this is a home printer and if she must report you, you will lose your warranty completely. Without her asking what type of business I do from home and what printing I do. I print about 2 pages per week from home.
I was then told it will be booked in and that's it and it will take 14 days. Vernoleen again gave me a wrong customer slip which I had to say I am not Mrs Smith.
All I want is my money back so that I can go and purchase a FULL FUNCTIONAL WORKING PRINTER.
I am not prepared to wait for 14 days as in fact the printer is less that 6 months from purchase!!!!
I expect urgent feedback on the above
Thank you MRS C GESWIND
