PnP horrifying behaviour

On the 15th of May 2018 my mother went to PnP clothing store in king williams town to browse. She wanted to buy something, she decided against it n placed the item back. As she was about to leave a female security guard INSISTED (didnt ASK) on searching my mothers handbag, like trying to say my mom stole something. It left her shaken & upset. No apology either....as far as im aware by law its not permitted to search without consent....

As for the Pick n Pay "family" store itself, my mom goes to PnP to buy groceries daily. Sometimes more than once a day. Its happened on quite a few occasions where the 'security' guards follow us along the isles. Even if they 'try' not to make it that obvious. Tryina 'insinuate' that were gonna ***** something. Its never happened to us at any other PnP store. Some of the cashiers n managers know us... As customers its absolutely appaling & disgusting that this kind of behaviour is permitted....

Since its being viewed as a "serious" incident, what steps will be taken to avoid future unfortunate incidents from happening again?... Because as a loyal customer i feel quite uncomfortable about shopping there again....
