PnP Hartenbos - Refusal to honour PnP Holdings' official policies (rain cheques)

I recently went to PnP Hartenbos to buy Nescafe Gold coffee that was on special. They did not have stock. I've asked for a rain cheque but they refused to give me one since they "don't do rain cheques".

On PnP's website: "Rain cheque - Should there be an item on special that is out of stock, you can receive a rain cheque for that item. A rain cheque guarantees that when you come back for that same item, within a 30-day period, you will pay the reduced advertised price"

My question is: Is PnP Hartenbos unique and exempted from official PnP Holdings policies?

What happened next: I went to PnP Langeberg Mall who also did not have stock of the coffee but they gave me a rain cheque without any problems or attitude (30 Mar). This morning (10 Apr), we went to PnP Hartenbos to buy groceries and found that they've received stock of the coffee which PnP Langeberg Mall issued a rain cheque for. We showed the rain cheque to the cashier who then called the floor manager Priscilla. She had a look at the rain cheque and advised me to go to PnP Langeberg Mall rather. I told her that the voucher to my best knowledge is redeemable at any participating PnP store (including them) after which she went to the owner in his office (Gert Kruger) who refused to honor PnP's official rain cheque.

I was embarrassed in front of other PnP customers and when I told the manager Priscilla that I'm going to report them to PnP Head Office, she was hostile and rep**** that it's fine. I want to emphasize that this is not the 1st time PnP Hartenbos refused to issue rain cheques or accept them, we've had this before. They also have a bad attitude when you want to return or exchange goods and give the impression that they are doing you a huge favour.

I thought it necessary to raise this issue with PnP Hartenbos' management since other customers also have issues but do not bother to report them.

Please can you address this unprofessional service and non-compliance to official PnP policies urgently. It harms PnP's good public image.
