Please help me find the lady who paid for my stuff at PnP today

So today I had the most horrible and humiliating experience at PnP in Claremont. I was standing at the till and my bank card declined about 3times and then i opted to quickly rush to an ATM which is about 10m away to get cash. At this suggestion a generous and kind lady offered to pick up my tab. I refused this offer and quickly ran out to the ATM. As i was heading back to the shop I bumped into the lady and with a bright smile she told me that my bill had been taken care of. I was surprised but kindly extended my gratitude and went back to the shop to grab my items. When i got to the till the cashier and his assistant did confirm that my bill had been taken care of. As I was picking up my groceries I noticed that my bags were swapped - turns out that the lady took my plastic bag instead and left one of hers behind. I decided to rush out and try catch-up to her. As I was heading out the door siren went off. I stopped by the security and did point out to him what was going on. Turns out the receipt for my groceries was on the plastic bag that the lady took - so I couldn't produce any evidence the purchase at the moment. The security decided rather to retain me as he wasn't allowed to let me out with the goods without verifying their payment. I left the goods with him and asked for the help of the cashier assistant to try and find the lady before she leaves. We wondered about the parking to no avail. We the went back to the shop and a manager was called (Lethu is his name if my memory serves me right). After waiting for about 30min some help seemed to be on the way. We went to the security room and I was asked to stand outside while the manager and security checked the cameras. After a couple of minutes i was summoned to the security room to come view the footage - in the footage we could see the lady paying for my goods, and later paying for hers and leaving (there was indeed a clear plastic bag mix up). However the manager just dismissed me and told me leave - i pushed back and asked why i should leave without my goods if they were paid for. Lethu argued that since I didn't pay for the goods myself I was in essence losing nothing from just walking away. The security (Nomakali) presented the receipts with my declined transactions to show that I didn't pay and thus must leave. I requested that they bring the cashier and the assistant cashier to come testify as to what happened but they couldn't listen to reason. They were just dismissive, and threatened to call police. I told them that it was also okay to involve police if they deemed it appropriate. During this time both the cashier and the assistant cashier came and told the manager that the lady behind me had indeed paid for my goods, however their words fell on deaf ears. Lethu told me that he had other important things to do and that if i wanted a R50 he could go to the ATM and withdraw it for me. Lethu said that having a complete stranger pay for my items was crazy and didn't make sense to him. The altercation became a little intense and I was ended up being locked in a security room while apparently the cops were being called. In between there was defamation and question of my character and ********ization. The Nomakali asked me in front of another manager if I was drunk. Mind you this was at around 2pm. The new manager told me that he was the owner of the store and thus decides who comes in and who doesn't and so kicked me out of the shop in a very threatening and humiliating manner. He asked the security to show me the way out. I told him that we were waiting for the cops to arrive and he said I could wait by myself outside his shop.

I'm still confused as to how my demand for justice is tantamount to being drunk? Couldn't the management just check on the system whether the items were paid for or not? Couldn't they quickly reprint the receipts for that time period and checked it against the items on the plastic bags? Does this mean I'm no longer allowed at PnP?

I recorded the last 30min of the altercation (involving me being asked if i was drunk, the manager kicking me out and Lethu saying that he will change the story when the cops came)

I have never been this humiliated in my life. I am extremely appalled by the treatment i received at PnP today.

Please help me find the kind lady who helped pay for my items today.

Reviewer Update
Good day @PnP team, Thank you for taking time to respond to the post above. I spoke to a lady on Monday from PnP and she informed me that they were looking into the matter and offered her apologies for the incidence. She had promised to call again with an update, but haven't heard anything to date. It's consoling that someone took the onus to both call and look into the matter. However, I must say I haven't received any update or resolution into the matter. While I do not expect PnP to into details about their internal processes, I do expect to be informed of the resolution reached with regards to this matter instead of leaving everything hanging. Could someone please provide an update into the matter? Regards, Egnatious
