Picknpay staff uninformed

In response to the recall of Tiger Brands line of Koo canned vegetables, I took in 7 cans of vegetables which were manufactured between the dates specified by their CEO. The first PicknPay representative at Port Shepatone asked for my cash slips, then had to call a supervisor. He was none the wiser, said recall was for baked beans and sweetcorn only. Total ignorance of the circumstances surrounding their products is unacceptable. I packed my parcel away as I was getting nowhere fast. I then proceeded to the meat counter to buy a beef roast, where there were two large printed signs stating the price was R94.99 per kilo. Two roasts were on display, one for R94.99 pk, one larger one for R109.99 per kilo. I took the larger roast to the meat counter and asked for it to be repriced at the advertised price of R94.99. The unhelpful counter staff called rhe same supervisor, who apologised for the oversight, but told me that R109.99 pk was the correct price, and that the signs were wrong. I left without a roast for my weekend guests, and will shop elsewhere in future.
