Picknpay princess crossing- Rude Virginia Morapama
On the 5th of January I went to Picknpay princess crossing. I was assisted by a rude cashier named Virginia Morapama. I must say I’m very disappointed to core by the attitude of that lady, I’ve been shopping with Picknpay for about 5 years now and I’ve never came across that kind of treatment. I’m not sure if she saw my age appearance as a vulnerability to be rude to me or that’s how she is when dealing with the customers. I am working in a customer centric environment where I’m a frontliner too but I’ve instilled discipline of TCF (treat customers fairly). Your cashier lacks it, she lack knowledge about items in her own job, she lacks empathy, she lack decent customer engagement, she lack everything that lady. The story is I went to her cash desk with a calculator board and when she scanned it it showed R799 I then told her that I want the R269.99 one, I went to my phone and showed her (on the downloaded catalogue) she called her supervisor to authorise the return item and I explained to the supervisor what I wanted she then asked someone to get for us: she told Virginia how it’s supposed to be done( that she scan it and the security guard will give us the calculator). It took quite some time then my partner said we must pay for the groceries then buy the calculator online- I insisted on him that we wait for it because the lady supervisor had already asked someone to fetch it for us. For reassurance- I asked Virginia again if we are waiting for the calculator that is being fetched. That’s when the attitude came by: her response- isn’t what the supervisor said, you heard her but asking again. I told her my partner didn’t hear that hence I’m asking you so he can hear it from you: the lady gave an attitude. The calculator was brought to us then we paid. Upon leaving her till she said something very disturbing about me that’s when I turned back to ask if she’s referring to me: she said I’m done with you, you can leave I’m not talking to you, very rude again… She said to her co- till assist that ‘people come here undergoing their personal stuff then throw it on us’
Her exact words: batho ba tla mo ba tshwere ke dilo tsa bona ba tlo dintshetsa mo rena.
I asked for her name she refused- she wasn’t even wearing a name badge, I saw her name on my slip.
Very rude service Very rude cashier
