PicknPay Melkbosstrand low stock, empty shelf problem

PicknPay Melkbosstrand, in particular, is a problem. I have sent numerous complaints to head office via their email and none of them were returned except for the last one in which they got the manager of the branch to call me to help address the issue that I, and many others in the village, have with this branch. The problem: it is never fully stocked. By Wednesday the stock on shelves is in short supply. By Sunday there is virtually nothing on the shelves. I talk specifically of fresh produce. We are already in the holiday season which means shoppers would rather go to Woolworths (in the same building), OK (a short drive or walk away) or Checkers (a drive a few kilometres away). One of the managers called me by phone and tried to explain their problem about suppliers not having stock. He made all kinds of excuses on behalf of the company but this doesn't cut it for me. My guess is that they need to supply the shop with product at least a few times a week to keep the shelves full and customers happy, especially on a weekend. Vegetables, meat and chicken are specific items always in short supply. To add to frustration, their LowCarb products have been taken off the shelves, the manager claiming LowCarb is not in demand. I do know that there are many health fanatics and healthy eaters in Melkosstrand. PicknPay is becoming less popular because of these issues. Head Office needs to take cognisance.
