Pick'nPay ASAP

Pick'nPay asap - worst app/service ever. Placed an order @ 08:15am on the 26th Nov 2022. Eventually received order at 16:35. 4 Calls (and multiple emails & attempted call centre calls) to the Pick'nPay in question, the store manager informs that they (Pick'nPay) are not responsible as they contract out to asap??????? and cannot assist me, I need to take the matter up with asap. After I contacted PnP and ASAP, someone must have contacted the driver as I finally received my order @ 16:35 - story has it, the asap driver 'fiddled' with the app and mistakenly booked my order as delivered!! Not thinking to contact the despatcher to obtain the delivery address again, he drives around with my order from whatever time he actually took possession of my goods. Thus, by the time I received the goods; they were not frozen anymore, and had items missing. The ASAP driver just left the packages at the security of our complex and drove off. With items missing, I contact Pick'nPay to inform them of the missing items, I am informed that ASAP are liable for the missing items and on calling ASAP, they inform me that Pick'nPay are liable. On the 29th Nov 2022 at 17:21 I receive an email from M. Mthebe of Pick'nPay, thanking me for getting in touch, apologizes for any inconvenience and that their delivery times are between 1-4 hrs and that their records show my order was delivered. Okay great, no mention of the items not delivered and queried - so I, the consumer once again carry the loss. There seems to be no recourse anymore, it is so easy to blame a sub-contractor. However, the impression which is created is that I, the consumer are dealing with PnP, I have no interest in sub-contractors, that is for PnP to sort out their subbies. Not send your client from pillar to post, however I suppose that is the game now. When we sub-contract at our company, we, as the main client accept responsibility and liability for the sub-contractor - that is why we vet our sub-contractors, as we know the responsibility falls on us should the sub-contractor fail in their duties. This is obviously not the case anymore - pass the buck back and forth enough and eventually the consumer gets tired and just gives up.
