Pick nPay Phoenix Acropolis - bad service, insults & false accusations made by manager

Picknpay Phoenix Acropolis staff Claude & Rani have been verbally abusive & have made false ******** accusations against me. We ordered from the delivery service & had to experience the worst service & instead of trying to rectify the situation due to mainly Claudes mistakes, we were accused & insulted. Claude even said he's like a doctor & works round the clock & took almost 2 hours to prove an unnecessary point( which hes still wrong about) instead of doing his job. It was a painful process to get the groceries to my mother, a pensioner. No feedback unless one called repeatedly & even then insults, can even be heard from staff in the background. And to top it off half the order didn't arrive. When I tried calling the store nobody bothered to answer even though it was before closing. The next morning was worse. It was imp**** that we took the groceries. No apologies were made. Just a tiny apologies on WhatsApps after the phone was slammed down on me 4 times. Claude claiming he's busy but got time to call to insult & make ******** accusations instead of doing his job. I was forced to listen to him rant but when I tried to speak calmly to get a solution he slammed the phone down. We have proof of everything as well as how my words were twisted. Specifics of everything have been sent to picknpay who have given a ref & are looking into the matter. Claude called my mum's number & started ranting & berating knowing full well this is a pensioner. He didn't know I was handling the matter. What if she was alone, she is 66 & has chronic conditions one of which is high BP. Claude didn't care. Is this how pensioners are treated picknpay? Every other store is having a pensioner preference. This store & manager didn't care. The remainder of our groceries were sent. The labels show that the fresh produce was cashed on 5 April. Items that were supposed to have been given to us on the 5th arrived on the 6th. Some of the produce had mould, were soggy from decay and were warm as if left out of the fridge. They have since decayed and had to be thrown out. This only two days after. These items if stored properly last us over a week. We didn't inform the store. My mum is scared. Claude has made false accusations. The experience was traumatising. We were told certain items were out of stock. That's fine. But not all the items on my list was sent & nothing was said about that. We assumed that the rest was available based on what this store told us. Then there are items on the receipt that are not specific, edible groceries 9.99. We not sure about things like that but we left it because Claude has been rude, arrogant and honestly not shown any regard for fellow human beings ESP a pensioner. Rani as well. We see it's Rani name on the receipt. Right now we just trusting that we received what we paid for. There's much more to this but picknpay has the specifics. I'm posting this so that ppl are aware of our bad experience which is bad on a normal day but during lock down just borders on disregard for humans. I have sought legal advice & the defamatory accusations against me made by Claude will be addressed using legal channels after lockdown. The accusation was so defamatory it could potentially ruin my reputation for life and is something I can't ignore. We have requested that the store owner contact us but that msg was given to Claude & given our experience from him I can't be 100% certain if the msg was conveyed. If the owner is busy we can understand, simply send a msg to say it will be addressed at a suitable time but so far, two days after the 1st incident with picknpay we have had no message from them. Picknpay head office have informed us that the matter is being sent to relevant managers. We have the WhatsApp chats and other records that show what we had to go through. This was my experiences with Picknpay Acropolis Phoenix. What should have been a simple delivery has turned out to be a traumatic experience which unfortunately has now led to me having to resort to legal action. PicknPay we have supported you for years. We chose your supermarket during the lockdown for this service as we said that it's picknpay, a trusted brand, what could go wrong. Well we got verbal abuse, emotional trauma false accusations, we lost money due to bad produce which we really feel should not have even been on the shelf if they were in that condition. I've lost so much time trying to rectify this situation & spent more money that we should with calls and soon legal fees. Not happy PicknPay. Please ensure that none of your customers are ever treated this badly again. Like I said, we will move forward with the defamatory case after lockdown.

Reviewer Update
I understand that not all matters can be addressed immediately due to current situation. I would like to suggest something, due to an extended lockdown more people will be using the delivery service. Can Pick n Pay Phoenix not send produce that is past its sell by date. People are budgeting and trying to make things last as long as possible. We sadly lost money due to this store sending us certain produce items that were already decaying. Due to the manner in which we were treated we didn't complain. It was honestly too traumatic by that point. Claude & Rani bul**** & insulted & accused. Give them a call to make sure they don't do that to other people. You will protect your company from further legal action. And respect pensioners. A number of them live alone & require assistance. A simple follow up message & update will help them. We were forced to call the store because nobody even acknowledged our order & then we were subjected to Claude claiming he got no time to do those things but could take the time to argue & insult. Treat all customers with respect. Pensioners even more so. Don't take people's hard earned money & then give them decaying produce. It's also a health hazard. We will wait for an appropriate time to start with legal action. Sadly due to consequences to my reputation & further prospects I cannot ignore that accusation. This message is not to harp on the issue to prove a point. What happened to us at this store was so traumatic & has ended up with additional costs that we want to prevent it happening to anyone else. I will take up the matter after lockdown & no Claude and Rani. I will not forget.
