Pick ‘n pay’s decline in quality

I bought pick ‘n pay’s fruit combo a couple of weeks back and it consisted of bananas , pears, apples and avocados. The bananas in particular were my cause for concern, which were supposed to be 1kg and this consisted of 4 banana’s, which was an absolute spoke. Then just the past thursday before easter friday, I bought some brie , which was on sale as well as some malva pudding. I wanted to make a charcuterie board with the brie on saturday 4 April 2026, its aroma was weird around the edges, which was distinctly different from the usual earthy mushrooms scent. Upon rereading the best before date: I found that it had expired on the 1st of April, then it made perfect sense why it had been on sale to begin with. Then came the malva pudding 😭😭with clumps of flour within it. I’ve loved this company since I was a child and it has always been my go to grocery shopping place, but recently they’ve dropped the ball. I’m really disappointed in the decline in quality since the late Mr Ackerman .
