Pick n Pay undelivered groceries

I was supposed to receive my delivery on Wednesday 31/07/2019 between 17h00 and 18h00. It is now Thursday 01/08/2019 18:40 and I still have yet to receive my order. First they told me the delivery was processed and delivered. Then they said the order wasn’t delivered due to “technical difficulties” and I would get my groceries today (01/08/2019) between 17h00 and 18h00. Now I just got off the phone with PnP and they tell me the driver is at the police station because he was ****** last night and all the deliveries were ******. That’s very unfortunate and I wish something like that on no one. However, Pick n Pay cannot have 1 driver for their entire Johannesburg fleet service, surely. Which means that someone else could’ve come and delivered my groceries to me. Hang, I could’ve even been told about the situation and we could’ve worked out another plan. I have now been forced to spend money outside of my budget and all of my 60 minutes of airtime is finished because I have been phoning them to figure out what’s going on. I want my groceries and my money that I have had to spend outside of my budget. This goes against treating customers fairly and I will not stand idly by as this happens. I have a family relying on me for this. Then I still also get told that Pick n Pay will deliver the groceries first thing in the morning to me at some ridiculous time I cannot recall (like between 10h00-11h00 or something stupid like that) first off, that’s not “first thing in the morning”, secondly this must be done on my terms as I am the one being inconvenienced! Pick n Pay Kensington should not be surprised tomorrow if I come in after work and walk out with all the groceries on my list without paying, neither do I think it unfair of me to request that all my money be given back that I have now been forced to spend (airtime and food) outside of my budget.
