Pick n pay was established and the basis of their business was to give us,their customers the best price. However,this theory has long been forgotten and greed has taken over at the cost of the lesser priviledged. Just one example, in recent past they had nescafe cuppucino at R110 for three boxes now they have them at R80 for two boxes. This is an offer only for online shopping. So those less fortunate citizens that dont have the luxury of doing online shopping are excluded and have to pay as a walk in customer the hugely inflated price. The same principle app**** to their Nescafe specials they had from time to time exclusively for smart card and online shoppers. The authorities like the Competition Commission should investigate the pricing of Nescafe coffee,prices to non smart card holders and online shoppers fluctuate within days from R89 to R64. Not sure what role the supplier play in this but in my view it warrants an investigation.
