Pick n Pay Strand Street, Cape Town CBD

Bought some veggies at Pick n Pay Strand Street, Cape Town CBD on 21/05/2019 at 10:18 (have the receipt in front of me currently). Went back to office (15mins walk away). Studied my receipt as something looked off....

Low and behold the 5 broccoli I bought, which must come with a 25% discount didn't go off at the till or on the slip.

Called the Manager of the Store who said I must bring the veggies back so that they can give me the R20 which equates to the discount value.....

Wait, must I walk 15 mins to your store AGAIN to show evidence that I bought the goods and then walk another 15mins BACK AGAIN to the office.... Are you mad?

Isn't my slip, which has my Vitality health card swiping details on it, including my ID, including my Vitality health card, including my Pick n Pay smart shopper card good enough?????

It's shocking that in an age of digitization where you have so many things to verify the goods bought that one must take goods back for the manager to take 2 seconds to verify that the goods where bought. All for 30 mins of walking up and down.

It's the 23 April 2019. I forgot the damn 5 packets of broccoli in my fridge at home. I'm back at the office 3 June 2019. So must I keep the goods in my fridge till then to take it back for verification 7 days after purchasing it?

No Pick n Pay man. If your systems offline when a purchase is made, why must I be punished by walking up and down like a clown..... I'm very disappointed
