Pick N Pay Staff Pushing Excuses

My 67 year old mother recently purchased an AIM dvd / usb player. I helped her set it up only to find the USB wasn't working properly. It would "pick up then drop the USB" on repeat. I tried a number of different USBs as well as a number of different movie formats.

I instructed my mother to take it back and request an exchange that they ensure is working before she leaves, or a refund.

I got a call on Sunday the 23rd October from her. She put a staff member from Pick n Pay and I explained the problem. He then said he needed to speak to the manager.

Today I find they did exchange the DVD player but did not test it, or offer a refund. The manager explained to my mother that the "USB Slot was an input for the TV". I have never heard anything more absurd. A dvd player is now plugged into the TV via a USB cable? Situated on the FRONT of the movie "player", and plugged into where exactly? Which TV on the market has an input for a USB "dvd player'? For a USB (multimedia) yes, but for a player? No.

Please guys, don't sell a USB dvd player that cannot read USBs. That is misleading and now I have to drive out to the store myself, otherwise who knows, maybe the manager will tell my mom to plug the USB into the car radio to play cds.

Frustrated! And I love Pck n Pay, it's the ONLY place I ever do my grocery shopping.
