PICK N PAY STAFF

Dear complaints departments, I raised this concern with Discovery bank before, though I love the use of the bank the abuse and refusal of pick n pay staff to assist when asking to bank money has finally reached my last nerve.

I always shop at Pick n pay Mulbarton, their produce is always fresh and well priced. After my December disappointment with Pick n Pay, Glen and then after that, pick n pay, Southdale, I was happy that Mulbarton was the shop that would always assist me. ONLY to be told tonight by the cashier named Prudence that she WOULD not assist me in banking 10k that the limit in a pick n pay store was 5k, Not per till but per store! So I politely said I Do not think that Discovery would make this kind of agreement with pick n pay. The manageress on duty Millicent agreed and said we won't help you anymore I will only bank this 5k, and you can report me she says, she did not in fact know that where I'd paid for my purchases I'd already banked another 5k. SO HER RULES

My question is, number 1 when it gets to just after 6 and staff at tills have to attend to customers, I agree it's been a long day, are there two shifts? Or do they work from 8am to 7pm? If yes then I'm sorry, if no then is it proper to start short cutting the very people that shop so you can earn your salary? Number 2, and I'm not sure of the agreement that Discovery has with pick n pay, are the members and importantly managers not suppose to be the motivators of staff members? Is it true that I can only bank 5k at a single shop? Or is the 7pm and f,,, the customer syndrome?

Good Morning dear Complaints Department I am a customer of Discovery banking and love my bank and on a few occasions phoned in and got great help from online.

PICK N PAY is a mess the staff are rude abrupt and act as if they are doing you a Favour, every single time I go into Pick n pay I come out wondering if this is all worth it. In December I went to bank my holiday pay and was made to stand in 3 different lines for 20 mins at a time, the manager at Pick n pay the Glen refused for the teller to help me with more than 1 x R5000 /deposit / TILL. Eventually I went to Pick n Pay clothing where they were too kind but when they realized the amount, I was banking they insisted on their "Christmas Bonus" very persistently. After giving everyone their share, I might as well have gone to a normal bank with no drama and paid the same amount. Last night was the pitts Pick n pay Southdale, close all the tellers 35 mins before closing time, left with a line of about 30 people and 3 tellers, a lady with a single cake in hand asked the manageress what now, she rudely told her stand in that line with all those customers, I was sniped at in the same manner. I ended up going next door into the liquor store and practically had to beg them to deposit it for me, answers were they don't know if it would go through on their machine. PLEASE PLEASE look at other places where banking can be done, I don't want to close my account but this kind of mental abuse by Pick n Pay staff scares the **** out of me every time I have to deposit.

PICK N PAY, I might not be your biggest customer but am a frequent shopper, You have some great staff but the ones with attitude that think they doing you a favour are the ones that spoils a day. I travel from Crown Mines, Fordsburg to Mulbarton to shop there. I will rather pay more else where than to ever again be left standing with money in my hand and a teller AND manager refusing to help me, then being forced to leave the shop with a line of people seeing you with that money in this evil world we live in! 7PM when its dark outside. 11.07 Pick n Pay Mulbarton calls : Mohale tells me her HR says that Deposits are 5K per day per store!!!! meaning the staff was right and I was wrong!!!! Condoning what happened. I received an email from Discovery clearly stating 5K per transaction. I DO NOT THINK DISCOVERY WOULD MAKE A DEAL WITH PICK N PAY FOR 5K PER DAY COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT MR KAMALDIEN SAID I SHOULD TAKE THE BANKING ISSUE UP WITH DISCOVERY WHEN I FACT THE PROBLEM IS PICK N PAY STAFF AND NOT DISCOVERY STAFF!!!!!
