Pick n Pay smart shopper is a ****

I went to pick n pay Steeldale with the intention of using my smart shopper points. After gathering all of my groceries and the groceries going through the scanner at the cashier, the cashier scanned my smart shopper card to use my points. She then tried numerous times because it would not go through. She then called the manager and the manager tried too. The manager then advised that they were offline and I would not be able to use my points. So I walked out of the store. I went in a week later with the intention to use my points, only to find out that my point balance is almost zero. My points got depleted while the system was offline a week ago. Also, pick n pay do not give customers points like how they said they would. I spent R7000 at pick n pay and only got 3200 points. For fuel they said 20 points per a liter. They do not give that to customers.

Losing my points have been a huge inconvenience.

The smart shopper card that was being used for the above was my husband's. I do know that points expire and I do know that an sms will be sent for the amount of points that are expiring. No sms was sent to him. Like I said, the points miraculously disappeared while the system was offline. It was not because it was expired. I had about R600 worth of points. The next day is was brought down to almost zero. So R600 could not have expired overnight.
